Wine Tasting Experience at Gaia Wines Santorini
On Santorini’s eastern edge, at Vrachies of Exo Gonia, our winery occupies a striking stone building — once an early 20th-century tomato processing facility, now thoughtfully transformed by GAIA Wines into a state-of-the-art winery. Here, history and innovation coexist, and you can enjoy our full portfolio from Santorini and Nemea in a setting shaped by the island’s raw, volcanic beauty.
Your Wine Tasting Experience
Enjoy a guided tasting (4 to 7 wines) from both our Santorini and Nemea vineyards. Discover the volcanic minerality of Assyrtiko, explore the traditional “kouloura” basket-vine training method, and pair your wines with local artisanal bites. Each tasting lasts approximately 1 hour and welcomes both individual visitors and small groups. Larger groups should contact us in advance to arrange a private tasting.
Pricing
Tastings start from €20 per person, up to €70 per person for premium Assyrtiko wine tasting.
Location & Opening Hours
Eastern Santorini, 5 minutes away from the island’s airport. Where the land meets the sea at Vrachies of Exo Gonia, between Kamari and Monolithos.
Our doors are open to visitors from April to October, offering an immersive tasting experience just steps from the sea. Advance online booking is recommended, especially during peak summer months.
The winery is open from April 29th to October 31st. Daily 12:00 – 20:00.

Experience the versatility of 2 “ambassador” grapes of Greece, the white Assyrtiko from Santorini and the red Agiorgitiko from Nemea region by tasting 7 wines under a traditional pergola by the beach.

Visit our winery in Santorini and embark on a vibrant tasting journey featuring five unique wines from the renowned region of Nemea.
Nemea, the largest wine-producing region in Greece, is nestled in the heart of the Peloponnese. Our main winery is located in the PDO village of Koutsi. During your tasting, you’ll explore three indigenous grape varieties, Assyrtiko, Moschofilero and Agiorgitiko from the Peloponnese, each offering a true taste of the region’s rich winemaking heritage.

Is booking required at GAIA Wines Santorini?
While walk-ins may be accommodated depending on availability, we recommend booking your tasting online in advance, especially during peak summer months (July–August), to guarantee your preferred time slot.
Are tours available in English?
Absolutely. Our knowledgeable oenologists and tasting hosts offer fully guided tours in both English and Greek.
Can I buy wine directly at the winery?
Both wineries feature boutique shops where you can purchase current vintages, exclusive cellar releases, and special gift packages.
Can I pay in USD?
Charges are made in USD at the extact daily exchange rate. Customers paying with credit cards in different currencies may incur nominal bank charges for transacting in USD. Please, contact your bank if in doubt about their charging policy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 5+ days before the experience receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made 2–4 days before receive a 50% refund. No refunds are issued on the day of the experience/event. The service fee is non-refundable.
